Foreshadow

I was delighted to find out recently that my poem, Foreshadow has been Highly Commended in the Artemesia Arts Poetry Competition 2026, judged by Malika Booker. This poem came about following a walk I took along Ulverston Canal to the canal foot; this was previously an area of heavy industry linked to a port on the coast at Morecambe Bay. I remember I felt a sense of foreboding from the canal and an urgency to write.
